Job summary

Google Bengaluru is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Search Serving Infrastructure. You will design, develop and evolve core components, own scalable areas of the platform, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to push the Search infrastructure forward.

As an advanced engineer, you will mentor junior engineers, drive architectural decisions, and deliver high-quality software at scale in a fast-paced environment.

• 3 years of software design and architecture experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and evolve the major components of the next-generation Search Serving Infrastructure.
• Own areas of the platform and ensure scalability, reliability and latency.
• Collaborate with Area Tech Leads, other engineers, Team Leads and cross-functional teams to align platform evolution with Search's architectural efforts.
• Maintain code quality of production systems; mentor junior engineers.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve large-scale software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and evolve the major components of the next-generation Search Serving Infrastructure.
• Own areas of the platform and make sure it provides the level of scalability, reliability and latency.
• Work with Area Tech Leads (ATLs), other engineers, Team Leads (TLs) and cross-functional teams, and help align the platform evolution with Search's architectural efforts.
• Maintain code quality of production systems. Lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
