Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Share Staff Software Engineer for Search Intelligence in Bengaluru. The role focuses on building scalable search intelligence systems, applying ML design, and integrating AI tools within workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 5 years of experience with one or more of: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, AI/ML researchers, and Product Managers to translate innovations into concrete designs and implementations.
• Drive technical design decisions within your area of ownership and contribute to technical best practices.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of Search Intelligence features at Google's massive scale, addressing Indian market needs.
• Be passionate about Search and discuss your AI knowledge in the hiring process; collaborate with engineers, AI/ML researchers, and PMs to translate innovations into concrete designs.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with building or leveraging agentic frameworks and Large Language Model (LLM)-powered automation to enhance investigative velocity.
• Experience with building classifiers, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), ranking, and research.
