Job summary

Guidewire Software in Bengaluru seeks a Staff Software Engineer to design and develop a multi-tenant cloud platform that powers Guidewire applications and services. You will tackle complex infra, contribute to cloud evolution, and help shape next-gen insurance technology.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SaaS/PaaS environments for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Golang, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker or equivalent) in a cloud ecosystem.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Serverless) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency with Linux and the Java/Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Team-first attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning new technologies.
• Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Multi-Tenant Cloud Platform that runs Guidewire applications and services.
• Design and develop GWCP/ATMOS infrastructure as code using EKS, Terraform, and Golang; oversee observability.
• Build Platform services addressing Developer Experience, Authentication, Authorization using Java/Spring Boot.
• Incorporate quality, scalability, availability, and security into code.
• Adopt TDD and automated testing to ensure product reliability.
• Deploy containerized applications to AWS via CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate in a pairing culture while solving daily engineering challenges.

What you’ll do

• Deeply involved in design and development of GWCP/ATMOS - infrastructure as code using technologies such as EKS (Kubernetes), Terraform, Golang. In addition handle Observability of the Platform (logs, metrics and traces). • Design and develop Platform services that solves problems such as Developer Experience, Authentication, Authorization using Java, Spring Boot

• Deploy containerized applications to AWS through your Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment

Required

• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
