Job summary

Blue Yonder Bengaluru is seeking an senior software architect to lead the design and delivery of our platform and mobile/UI applications. You will drive architecture decisions, guide parity with legacy systems, and migrate the ExtJS UI to modern platforms while ensuring robust, scalable microservices in Azure.

You will work hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, React, Kafka and cloud-native patterns, while mentoring engineers and aligning technical roadmaps with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 14–16 years of software development experience
• Full-stack experience with ReactJS for front-end and enterprise Java for back-end
• Mobile app experience (React Native and/or native Android/iOS)
• Demonstrable experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud enterprise solutions in Azure
• Experience with microservices architecture on Cloud at scale
• Event-driven architecture using Kafka, Spark or similar
• Hands-on development with architecture/design experience and ongoing software development
• Cloud-native architecture, distributed micro-services, multi-tenant SaaS, scalability & HA
• Experience with API management platforms and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, OAuth, REST, GraphQL, Hibernate, NoSQL, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, React
• DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and automation
• Secure architectures & identity management

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture/designs to build robust platform/systems for mobile and UI apps

• Write/review service descriptions with QoS measures and implement self-healing services

Scope:

• Develop features across multiple sub modules within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, debugging, effort estimation, and continuous quality improvement of the design & code and deployment.
• Design, develop and manage automated unit and acceptance tests

Our current technical environment:

• Software: Java, Springboot, ReactJS, ReactNative, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth
• Application Architecture : Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture
• Cloud Architecture : MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)

What you'll do:

• Drive architecture and designs to build simpler, more robust, and more efficient platform/systems for our mobile and UI applications.
• Hands on develop the mobile and UI applications, which includes building parity with the existing legacy systems and migration of the existing ExtJS based User Interface to newer platforms.
• Write and review service descriptions including relevant measures of service quality and drives architecture to deliver on these promises through self-healing, reliable services that require minimum manual intervention.
• Provide early visibility and mitigation to technical challenges through the journey.
• Confidently represents product and portfolio, including vision and functional and technical roadmaps, within the company and, when necessary, to strategic customers

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred) and minimum 14 to 16 years of experience in Software development; ideally a candidate that has started as a Software Engineer and progressed to Lead Software Engineer and has been an Architect, within the last 5 years minimum
• Full-stack experience with ReactJS for front-end development and hands-on back-end Enterprise Java development
• Mobile application experience (React Native and/or native Android/iOS)
• Demonstrable experience Java, Springboot, Microservices, designing, building deploying and maintenance of enterprise cloud solutions in Azure
• Demonstrable experience with microservices based architecture on Cloud at scale.
• Experience with implementation of Event driven architecture using Kafka, Spark or similar technologies
• Hands-on development skills along with architecture/design experience; should not have moved away from software development
• Demonstrable experience, thorough knowledge and interests in Cloud native architecture, Distributed micro-services, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud Scalability, performance and High availability
• Experience with API management platforms & providing / consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with varied tools such as Spring Boot, OAuth, REST, GraphQL, Hibernate, NoSQL, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, React.
• Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
• Good Understanding of secure architectures, secure configuration, identity management.
