Job summary

Blackbaud India is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software on the Microsoft stack. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and agile team members to deliver modern applications and champion engineering best practices.

You will work with C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and front-end technologies, contributing to cloud-based solutions on Azure while leveraging AI-assisted development to improve quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of professional experience designing and developing software applications using Microsoft technologies.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB, with experience building data-driven applications.
• Experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, HTML, and CSS, along with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that deliver business value and exceptional customer experiences.
• Partner closely with product management, user experience designers, and fellow engineers to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, provide recommendations for application improvements, and help drive innovation across products and processes.
• Build and integrate modern web applications and services while ensuring code quality, reliability, accessibility, and compliance with web standards.
• Participate fully in agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and other team ceremonies.
• Support production applications by troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and continuously improving performance, security, and maintainability.
• Stay current with evolving technologies, cloud platforms, and AI-assisted development capabilities to enhance team effectiveness and product outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB, with experience building data-driven applications.
• Experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, HTML, and CSS, along with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, application integration patterns, source control systems such as Git, and continuous integration practices.
• Experience building or supporting cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, secure, maintainable software that meets established engineering standards and operational requirements.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency, accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and actively explore emerging capabilities as they evolve.
• Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities
