Job summary

Broadcom in Hyderabad seeks an experienced software engineer to address time-critical enhancements and complex customer issues in the Security product family, with design and code reviews and mentoring on debugging. Use of AI tools is encouraged to improve productivity.

Expected: 10+ years in software development, strong Java/J2EE, OS internals, and multi-threaded high-performance apps. Knowledge of OAuth/OpenID, PKI/SSL, IAM, and excellent communication and coaching skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience with enterprise-class Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Unix OS internals.

Responsibilities

• Design and code complex enhancements that meet functional and business requirements on schedule and within budget.
• Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Perform unit/module testing of software to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
• Fix bugs, add enhancements, and convert software to other platforms.
• Actively participate in design and code reviews with other developers.
• Provide product content to Technical Writers.
• Mentor, train, develop and serve as a knowledge resource for less experienced Software Engineers.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for addressing complex time-critical enhancements and customer issues for the Security product family. Also to provide design, code reviews to complex code modifications and mentor others on debugging approaches to solve complex issues. Use of AI tools for productivity and efficiency is required.

Skills Required

• Strong Java/J2EE programming (Java full-stack) skills with experience on enterprise class applications
• Strong Design & Debugging skills
• Strong knowledge of Windows / Unix Operating Systems Internals
• Very good at debugging Multi-threaded, high performance Applications
• Ability to use AI tools effectively to improve efficiency, productivity
• Enterprise Security domain knowledge and experience:
• OAuth, OpenID
• PKI (Certificates), SSL
• IAM / Federation, Privileged Identity use cases
• Good Communication, Coaching & mentoring skills
