Job summary

Chamberlain Group seeks an experienced infrastructure and cloud operations leader to apply software engineering practices to our global IoT cloud platform myQ. You will design scalable, highly available infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments and mentor an SRE team.

You will drive automation, IaC with Terraform and Argo CD, operate observability stacks, and collaborate with distributed stakeholders to deliver an secure, cost-conscious roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure and operations design, disaster recovery, and security engineering.
• Proficient with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
• Professional experience with cloud platforms (AWS or others).
• Hands-on IaC at scale with Terraform and Argo CD.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Linux/Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer infrastructure and platform to solve current challenges and future opportunities.
• Lead initiatives from inception to design to implementation and optimization, working with many teams and team members.
• Establish working relationships with business members, technical staff, and subject matter experts to help create and execute the infrastructure roadmap.
• Correspond with TECH/IT executives and stakeholders to maintain and execute the infrastructure roadmap.
• Provide forward thinking on technology and innovative solutions with a strong emphasis on automating our infrastructure and technology solutions.
• Evolve PaaS implementations, working with vendor solutions and cloud services.
• Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting and RCA for security and infrastructure events.
• Accountable for accomplishing tasks both independently and collaboratively; provide high quality work in a deadline driven environment.
• Provide leadership, assistance and technical guidance to the SRE Team.
• Facilitate and manage discussions with TECH/ IT Executives, Architects and Senior Engineers Collaborate with security team on architecture design and tools.
• Provide governance of our Infrastructure as a service environment; stay current on overall TECH/IT strategy, business goals, technology trends, updates, and releases.

This role will be responsible for taking aspects of software engineering and applying them to cloud infra

infrastructure and operations solutions powering myQ, an industry leading IoT cloud platform. This role will

have demonstrated software development skills, and experience in a cloud environment with both Linux and

Windows system expertise. This role will have experience in designing and implementing systems at scale in a

highly available global cloud platform and collaborating with globally distributed teams/stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and engineer infrastructure environment & platform to solve current challenges, as well as creating future opportunities

Experience

• 7+ years of infrastructure and operations experience in a technical role, including but not limited to: design, implementation, disaster recovery, network security architecture and engineering
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum is required
• Experience in software development is required,
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or others
• Experience with IaC at scale with tools like Terraform and ArgoCD
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus & Grafana or Datadog and New Relic
• Experience with Linux, Windows platforms and active directory
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and self-diagnose issues in software development
• Proficient in Network architecture design and documentation
• Enjoy working in the technology field and has a good general understanding of how technology works in various areas

• Experience in IoT and durable goods industry.

• Advanced knowledge of network security, VPC design, firewall management, and secure connectivity
• Security tools and mitigations (SIEM, Edge Firewalls)
• Deep expertise in Terraform and other IaC frameworks with proven production experience.
• Mastery of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and GitOps automation using Argo CD or equivalent.
