Job summary

Brindhavvan Areion Hospital in Bengaluru seeks a qualified nurse to join our casualty/emergency team. You will provide immediate nursing care to patients arriving at the emergency department and perform initial assessments, monitor vital signs, and support doctors during procedures.

The role requires GNM or BSc Nursing, KSNC registration, and willingness to work in rotational shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• GNM or BSc Nursing from a recognized institution.
• KSNC registration must be valid.
• Experience in casualty, emergency, ICU preferred; freshers with relevant skills may apply.
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate nursing care to patients arriving at the casualty and emergency department.
• Perform initial patient assessment, monitor vital signs, and promptly identify critical conditions.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures, resuscitation, and life‑saving interventions.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records, emergency registers, and nursing documentation.
• Ensure proper triage, timely patient management, and coordination with other departments.
• Follow infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and hospital policies.
• Check and maintain emergency equipment, crash carts, and medical supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, attendants, doctors, and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure proper handover during shift changes and maintain confidentiality.
