Job summary

Narayana Health is seeking a dedicated nurse in Raipur, India, to administer nursing care, document patient records, and educate patients and families. You will follow standard policies, ensure infection control, and participate in training programs to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Nurse must hold valid nursing credentials and licensing.
  • ACLS/BLS training is desirable where applicable.
  • Experience in clinical patient care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere and comply with Organization Regulations and Administrative Policies.
  • Adhere and comply with policies and procedures related to patient care, infection control, patient safety and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in all aspects of patient care.
  • Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care and assess the impact of nursing interventions as appropriate.
  • Assessment and reassessment of pain and management of pain.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for medication management.
  • Explain plan of care to patient and family.
  • Document all patient records as per policies and standards.
  • Educate patient and family as required.
  • Ensure involvement of patient, family and significant others in the patient’s care.
  • Monitor clinical and other established performance indicators to ensure ongoing quality improvement.
  • Follow patient safety goals and report incidents as required.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information and records.
  • Participate in scheduled in-service training programs such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, NALS, CNEs.

Job Responsibilities
General Responsibility

Training and Development
  • Participate and contribute in scheduled in service training programs like ACLS, BLS, PALS, NALS (If applicable), CNEs, conferences etc.,
Functional Area Responsibility
  • Knowledge on the blood drawing protocols and collection of reports.
  • Alert the on-call physician/surgeon/ consultant in case of any deteriorating sings or abnormal lab results (Panic Value).
  • Demonstrate knowledge on nursing care plan and its documentation.
  • Ability to facilitate patient education.
  • Knowledge on betadine/chlorhexidine (antiseptic)scrub bath prior to surgery.
  • Administration of intra venous, intra muscular, intra dermal and subcutaneous injection.
  • Perform steam inhalation, nebulisation and restrain policy.
  • Assist / perform tracheostomy care and suctioning procedure.
  • Ability to operate a Defibrillator.
  • Ability to explain the discharge criteria as per policy.
  • Management of blood and body fluids, HAZMAT spills.
  • Handle central venous catheters and peripheral line.
  • Knowledge on Anticoagulants and Urinary catheter care.
