Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Bengaluru seeks a Staff Fixed Assets Accounting professional to oversee fixed asset transactions, including leases and long-term licenses, and to support the BPO operations with TCS in India. You will prepare supporting documentation and maintain internal controls while coordinating with internal and external auditors.

The role requires 8+ years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; CPA/CA preferred.
• 8+ years of public accounting or corporate experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good problem solving and accounting investigative skills.
• Ability to apply technical accounting guidance to transaction patterns and reach a position.
• Familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP S4 Hana.

Responsibilities

• Review and guide fixed asset transactions for the Fixed asset team in the BPO (TCS in India), including lease and long-term licensing transactions.
• Assist in preparation of documentation and memos supporting accounting positions related to fixed assets.
• Execute and document processes and internal controls around fixed asset accounting processes.
• Ensure internal controls compliance is prepared and retained.
• Coordinate with the SOX team and external auditor, provide documentation required for financial audit.
• Support and review financial reporting related to fixed assets.
• Assist with other accounting projects as required (e.g., integration of newly acquired entities).

Introduction

Provide Oversight for fixed asset transactions to the Fixed asset team in the BPO (TCS in India), Audit Coordination and assist in ongoing fixed asset projects

Your Job

• Review and provide guidance on fixed asset transactions to the Fixed asset team in the BPO (TCS in India), including lease transactions and long-term licensing transactions.
• Assist in preparation of documentation and memos supporting the Company’s accounting positions related to fixed assets (as required).
• Execute and document processes and internal controls around applicable fixed asset accounting processes.
• Ensure internal controls compliance is prepared and retained.
• Coordinate with the SOX team and external auditor, Provide necessary documentation required for financial audit.
• Support and review financial reporting related to fixed assets.
• Assisting with other accounting projects as required.
• Examples include Integration of newly acquired entities, process and reporting enhancements for Fixed Assets.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA/CA preferred
• At least 8 years of public accounting or corporate experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good problem solving and (accounting) investigative skills
• Ability to apply technical accounting guidance to transaction fact pattern to arrive at recommended accounting position
• Familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP S4 Hana
