What You’ll Do
The Global Solution Delivery Selling & Store Operations Team manages Front and Back of Store solutions within TJX IT. In this role you will lead the workforce management technology for a cross‑functional set of North American and European users, designing, developing, and delivering key business features. You’ll manage integrations between UKG Pro WFM and Logile, guide technical direction, partner with architecture and security consultants, and support Agile product teams. All work is carried out within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions to design approaches for solving visible business problems.
- Design, code, deploy, and support working software components while collaborating with architects and engineers.
- Work with development and delivery teams to ensure systems are well designed, deployed to production, and risks are identified and mitigated.
- Act as a scrum team lead for medium initiatives, prioritizing tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues.
- Coach and guide engineering talent using your software engineering experience.
- Partner with cross‑functional technical teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure best engineering practices are followed and adopted for operational excellence.
- Contribute to high‑level architecture to drive engineering and operational excellence.
- Handle non‑functional requirements, SOX/PCI requirements, and security best practices.
Skills & Knowledge
- 8+ years of overall Engineering & IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience in developing and solutioning UKG Workforce Management, UKG Pro WFM, Time & Attendance, Schedule Optimization, and related applications.
- Experience with integration development using the UKG Boomi Platform.
- 2+ years of experience with middleware technologies such as Boomi, MoveIT Automation, etc.
- 5+ years of experience with UKG InTouch Devices (configuration, firmware upgrade, etc.).
- 3+ years of SaaS/Cloud practice experience.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve integration issues.
- 3+ years of experience with automation testing technologies (e.g., Tosca).
- 3+ years of experience working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery, and SQL.
- Preferred experience:
- Integrating diverse systems & APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps tools such as Git/GitLab, SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience with Oracle HRIS, Workday, and integration with UKG Time & Attendance systems.
- Knowledge of retail business processes.
- Proven experience leading technical design and solution delivery in complex, distributed systems.
- Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and proactive ownership mindset.
- Proficiency with source code management tools (e.g., Git), Jira, and Confluence.
- In-depth understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to influence across teams and geographies.
- Experience providing and implementing security recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers at various levels.
- Ability to understand and communicate the business impact of technical issues.
- Leans toward an agile mindset and embraces continuous improvement and learning.
- Works independently and collaborates well as part of a multi‑geo team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle within an Agile environment.
