Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack
Role Overview:

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical anchor for our full-stack engineering teams. This role demands deep hands-on expertise across the stack, combined with the ability to architect complex systems, drive technical strategy, and elevate the engineering practice across the organization. You will own critical technical decisions, mentor senior engineers, and partner with leadership to align technology with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, build, and evolve scalable, high-performance full-stack systems
  • Lead technical design for complex, multi-quarter initiatives — defining data models, service boundaries, API contracts, and deployment strategies.
  • Drive engineering excellence by establishing coding standards, architectural patterns, and observability practices across teams.
  • Own the performance, reliability, and scalability of core services; diagnose and resolve deep systemic issues across the stack.
  • Mentor and elevate senior and advanced engineers through architectural guidance, code reviews, and technical coaching.
  • Champion testability, CI/CD maturity, and operational readiness — ensuring teams ship production-grade software consistently.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform leadership to decompose ambiguous problems into executable technical roadmaps.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies that improve developer velocity and system resilience.
  • Represent engineering in cross-functional forums; communicate trade-offs, risks, and technical strategy to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to data architecture decisions — optimizing relational schemas, document structures, replication, and partitioning strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record in full-stack development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in React and modern front-end ecosystems — performance optimization, state management, and scalable component architecture.
  • Deep expertise in Node.js and back-end frameworks; extensive experience designing RESTful, GraphQL, or event-driven APIs.
  • Mastery of both PostgreSQL and MongoDB — advanced query optimization, indexing strategies, transactions, replication, and schema evolution at scale.
  • Experience working with Graph Database like Neo4j or equivalent
  • Hands-on Experience in other programming languages like python, Java etc
  • Experience working with Springboot framework
  • Demonstrated experience architecting distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across team boundaries and influence without direct authority.
  • Deep understanding of system design, scalability patterns, caching strategies, and data consistency models.
  • Strong grasp of security best practices, authentication/authorization patterns, and data protection standards.
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration, and modern DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in high-growth or enterprise-scale environments with strict reliability and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ).
  • Exposure to observability and AIOps tooling — metrics, tracing, alerting, and SLO-driven operations.
  • Experience leading platform or infrastructure initiatives that improve developer productivity.
  • Background in data engineering, ETL pipelines, or real-time analytics systems.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical community engagement.
