Job summary

Albertsons Companies India is seeking a highly skilled UI Engineer to join our Web Engineering team in Bengaluru. You will design and develop scalable front‑end solutions for our grocery retail platform, delivering seamless user experiences for millions of customers.

You will work with Product, UX and Backend teams, implement state management with Redux, optimize API integrations, write tests with React Testing Library and Jest, and contribute to CI/CD to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of professional software engineering experience focused on front-end with React.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale web applications in high‑traffic consumer environments.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks (React Testing Library, Jest).
• Strong knowledge of Redux, AJAX, and middleware (Redux‑Saga, Thunk).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Implement state management with Redux and middleware like Redux‑Saga or Thunk.
• Build and optimize AJAX‑based data fetching and API integrations.
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests with React Testing Library and Jest.

You will be responsible for designing and developing modern front‑end solutions, ensuring seamless user experiences, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative features for millions of customers.

• Implement state management solutions with Redux and integrate middleware such as Redux‑Saga or Thunk.
• Build and optimize AJAX‑based data fetching and API integrations.
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests using frameworks like React Testing Library, Jest, or similar
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Backend teams to deliver scalable and user‑centric solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, resiliency, and modularity of Web services and applications.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment of front‑end applications.

Experience Required:

• 8-12 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on front‑end development using ReactJs
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale web applications in high‑traffic consumer environments.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks (React Testing Library, Jest, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Redux, AJAX, and middleware (Redux‑Saga, Thunk)
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to make architectural decisions and lead engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• A problem‑solver – Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and you find ways to get things done
• Strong strategic skills.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with personalization, taxonomy, and product data enrichment.
• Familiarity with GitHub CoPilot and other developer productivity tools and frameworks.
