As a Staff Engineer specializing in Node.js, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our web applications and services. You will work closely with our cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and optimise software solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, Design and Develop and maintain server‑side applications using Node.js.
• Collaborate with backend and front‑end developers to integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic.
• Lead/Design and implement APIs for web applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire application stack.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and refine software requirements.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and technologies to suggest improvements and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and/or SQL databases.
• Version control using Git and collaborative development using Git workflows. Understanding of containerisation (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
• Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
