Qualifications

As a Staff Engineer specializing in Node.js, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our web applications and services. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize software solutions that meet our customers' needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, Design and Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
• Collaborate with backend and front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Lead/Design and implement APIs for web applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire application stack.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and refine software requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to suggest improvements and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development
• Familiarity with NoSQL and/or SQL databases.
• Version control using Git and collaborative development using Git workflows. Understanding of containerisation (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, and documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
• Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
