Job summary

Data Direct Networks (DDN) seeks Development Engineers in India to help build storage solutions for the most data‑intensive applications. If you have a strong background in Linux‑based software development and a passion for cutting‑edge technology, we want to hear from you and contribute to world‑class performance.

You will design and develop new features for high‑performance storage platforms, maintain and enhance software, analyze and resolve bugs, collaborate with distributed teams, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in software development with C in Linux environments.
• 3+ years of experience with enterprise-class storage, HPC systems, or distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Lustre or parallel file systems is a plus.
• Experience with Linux networking, kernel VFS, IO subsystems, and Ext4 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features for high-performance storage platforms.
• Maintain and enhance existing software solutions.
• Analyze and resolve software bugs across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers and distributed teams to understand product requirements.
• Contribute to technical documentation and product validation.
