Job summary

Lenovo Bengaluru is seeking a firmware/BIOS engineer to own x86 and ARM server UEFI/BIOS development, feature design, and bug fixing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to translate requirements into robust firmware solutions.

The role demands strong C programming, understanding of processor architectures and OS internals, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering secure boot and performance improvements across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• Strong Server UEFI/BIOS development experience.
• Strong C coding skills.
• Knowledge of processor architecture and OS internals.
• Familiarity with UEFI technologies like SMBIOS, Boot Loaders, PCIe, Secure Boot, System Performance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for x86 and ARM server UEFI/BIOS development, including feature development and bug fixing.
• Working with internal team to design new product features into next generation.
• Working with internal team and end-customers to understand customer’s requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or similar field.
• Strong Server UEFI/ BIOS development experience.
• Strong C coding skills.
• Good knowledge on processor architecture and OS internals
• Good knowledge one or more of the UEFI related technology areas like SMBIOS, Boot Loaders, PCIe, Secure Boot, System Performance etc.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multi-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability in mentoring/developing junior staff members.
• Provides advice in technical/operational domain of specialization.
