Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer in Bengaluru to build high-performance controller firmware for memory and SSD systems.

You will engage in evaluation, build, bench testing, debugging, and failure analysis to improve performance while reducing power and SoC complexity. The role requires 6–12 years of embedded firmware experience, strong C/assembly skills, and knowledge of PCIe/NVMe, SATA/SAS, and ARM toolchains.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years in Embedded Firmware Storage/SSD is a strong plus.
• Strong firmware design and debugging experience using assembly and C.
• Knowledge of mass storage interface PCIe/NVMe.
• Understanding of storage interfaces including SATA or SAS (optional).
• Strong skill in ARM development tools and IDE such as Eclipse.
• Knowledge in the use of scripting languages, programming tools and environments.
• Experience in the storage industry in SSD, HDD, storage systems, or related technology.
• Working knowledge of NAND flash and other non-volatile storage is optional but plus.

As a Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will build groundbreaking high-performance controller firmware for volatile and non-volatile memory systems. You will assist in the evaluation, creation, build, bench testing, debugging, and failure analyzes of firmware for new high-performance memory controllers and Solid State Drives (SSD) that will improve performance, while reducing power, latency and SoC (System on Chip) complexity for the target sectors. You can expect to partner multi-disciplinary Engineers seek multi-functional product development issues. You will triage failures, file bug reports, use AI Supported and help the development teams with isolating issues.
