Job summary

Enphase Energy is seeking a Staff Engineer DVT to lead Systems Software validation for EV charging and power management products. You will work on embedded Linux platforms, real-time supervision, charging stacks, and cloud connectivity while mentoring engineers to ensure production-grade firmware.

You will apply your expertise in multi-threaded frameworks, IPC (MQTT/DBus), and ISO-like standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality firmware in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer or Electronics Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in Firmware verification of Embedded Systems/Products.
• Strong in requirements analysis, test case development and firmware verification.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded products and multi-threaded environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Firmware design for features developed.
• Develop test cases with good coverage.
• Own quality of Firmware under test.
• Define DVT plan and test runs for releases.
• Set up test environments, verify Firmware, and report defects early.

About The Role

Enphase is seeking a Staff Engineer DVT (validation) to serve as the Systems Software DVT and technical integrations lead for our EV charging and power management products, including AC/DC Bi-Directional EVSE. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you work on embedded Linux platforms, real-time power conversion supervision, charging protocol stacks, grid interfaces, and cloud connectivity. You will bridge the gap between complex power electronics and energy management theory and high-performance, production-grade software, mentoring senior engineers and ensuring high standard of Firmware is delivered.

What you will do

• Understand the Firmware design for the features developed.
• Testcase development for the requirements with better test coverage.
• Complete ownership on quality of Firmware under test.
• Come up with DVT plan and Test run for the releases.
• Prepare Test setup and verify the Firmware and report bugs early to ensure release quality.
• Automate Testcases and run automation for validation of Firmware releases.
• Analyse and Debug the bugs raised and collaborate with development team on fixing the issues.

Who You Are And What You Bring

• B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech preferably in Computer/Electronics Engineering from reputed colleges.
• 8+ years of experience in Firmware verification of Embedded Systems/Products.
• Strong expertise in Requirement analysis, Test case development and Firmware/Embedded software verification.
• Expertise in working with Linux based Embedded products.
• Working knowledge of complex multi-threaded frameworks, IPC mechanisms (MQTT/DBus), and state machines that interface across hardware drivers, power conversion control (DSP/FPGA), networking protocols, and cloud layers
• Experience in CI/CD, Test Management tools.
• Strong in Python to design automation framework and automate test cases.
• Expertise in debugging the issues.
• Experience in Agile model testing.
• Proactive and results oriented.
• Good Team player and should be able to collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Nice to have Software Testing certification.
• Nice to have EV or EVSE validation with understand of ISO 15118, OCPP, IEC 61851, CCS/NACS
