Job summary

SiFive, the pioneer of RISC-V, is seeking a Staff Design Verification Engineer in India to lead verification of complex CPU core microarchitecture. With 7+ years of experience, you will drive DV strategy, architecture validation, and silicon-quality assurance for high-performance processors.

You will own end-to-end verification, develop test plans, lead SystemVerilog/UVM based work, drive regressions, and collaborate with Architecture and Design teams to validate ISA behavior and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of staff-level verification experience in CPU core DV.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering required.
• Experience with verification of ISA features is desirable.
• Strong test planning, coverage, and regression skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end verification of CPU core components (Fetch, Decode, Execute, Memory, Pipeline, Cache, MMU).
• Develop test plans from architecture specifications and ensure full coverage closure.
• Lead verification using SystemVerilog / UVM.
• Drive regressions and debug complex failures across simulation and emulation platforms.
• Validate ISA behavior and perform ISA-level validation and compliance testing.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Design Verification Engineer with 7+ years of experience to lead verification of complex CPU core microarchitecture with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering . The candidate will drive DV strategy, architecture validation, and closure for high-performance processors, ensuring functional correctness, performance, and quality at silicon level.

Key Responsibilities:

• CPU Core Verification
• Own end-to-end verification of CPU core components (Fetch, Decode, Execute, Memory, Pipeline, Cache, MMU)
• Validate microarchitectural features such as:
  • Out-of-order execution
  • Branch prediction
  • Cache coherency
  • Virtual memory & paging
• Develop test plans from architecture specifications and ensure full coverage closure
• Verification Methodology & Execution
• Lead verification using SystemVerilog / UVM
• Develop: Testbenches Constrained-random tests Scoreboards and checkers Coverage models (functional + code)
• Drive regressions and debug complex failures across simulation/emulation platforms
• Architecture & Feature Validation
• Work closely with Architecture & Design teams to:
  • Understand ISA behavior (e.g., ARM ISA, RISC-V, or x86)
  • Validate corner cases, exceptions, interrupts
  • Perform ISA-level validation and compliance testing
