Job Overview

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence. In this challenging role you will be engaged in block level and sub‑system level design and timing optimization, supervising layout and working closely with the Logic Team, project teams, and technology developers on array functionality, floorplanning, waveforms, circuit optimization, mentoring, and documentation of Micro‑Architecture Specifications in accordance with industry standards such as ISO26262.

Job profile: Semiconductor Design Engineer4. Relocation level: TBD.

Responsibilities

• Block level and sub‑system level design, timing optimization, and layout supervision.
• Partner with the Logic Team to explain and support array functionality.
• Collaborate with project teams to define full‑chip floorplan and placement of core circuits.
• Work with technology developers to finalize array waveforms.
• Conduct circuit optimization from base cells to full‑chip level using simulation tools such as HSPICE, FastSPICE, and ncVerilog.
• Mentor junior designers and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Document block level and sub‑system level Micro‑Architecture Specifications (MAS) following standards such as ISO26262.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD + 2‑6 years or BS + 6‑10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Deep knowledge of digital, analog and mixed‑signal circuits.
• Deep knowledge of CMOS device physics.
• Deep knowledge of flash array and reliability mechanisms.
• Proficiency in analog and digital simulation tools such as HSPICE, FastSPICE, and ncVerilog.
• Strong verbal communication skills (English).
• Interest and motivation to work as an engineer on sophisticated systems‑level products.
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues.
• Proven ability to achieve results in a fast‑moving, dynamic environment.
• Self‑motivated, self‑directed, and a team player.
• Understanding of computer architecture, storage devices, and NAND memory.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted tools to improve engineering productivity and documentation.
• Ability to critically review AI‑generated outputs using sound engineering judgment.
