Job summary

SiFive, Inc. is seeking a Staff Design Verification Engineer with 6+ years of experience to lead verification of a complex CPU core microarchitecture.

You will drive DV strategy, architecture validation, and silicon-level closure, ensuring functional correctness and high performance. Collaborate with Architecture & Design teams to understand ISA behavior and validate edge cases, exceptions, and memory systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading verification for CPU cores or microarchitectures.
• Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments.
• Ability to develop test plans from architecture specs and ensure coverage closure.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification of CPU core components (Fetch, Decode, Execute, Memory, Pipeline, Cache, MMU).
• Develop DV strategy, architecture validation, and silicon-level closure.
• Own end-to-end verification of CPU core microarchitecture and ensure functional correctness and performance.
• Develop testbenches, constrained-random tests, scoreboards, and coverage models.
• Drive regressions and debug complex failures across simulation and emulation platforms.
• Work with Architecture & Design teams to understand ISA behavior and validate edge cases.
