Job summary

Aviatrix in Bengaluru is seeking a Staff Engineer – Cloud Test to own multi‑cloud BGP test coverage and design robust test plans. You will build automated regression suites and integrate them into CI pipelines while collaborating with engineering, product, and field teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in cloud networking QA, strong BGP/TCP/IP fundamentals, and hands‑on experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This role focuses on cloud‑native WAN, tunnelless BGP, and observability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud networking QA, network engineering, or infrastructure testing.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, and GCP VPC/VNet architectures.
• Hands-on testing across two or more clouds; IPSec/GRE encrypted overlays.
• Python or Go for test automation; CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Excellent networking troubleshooting and packet-level debugging (Wireshark, tcpdump).

Staff Engineer – Cloud Test

Position Responsibilities

• Own test coverage for multi‑cloud BGP and routing features across AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Design and execute test plans for BGP scaling, encrypted tunnels, symmetric routing, and per‑gateway route filtering
• Validate cloud‑native WAN connectivity, tunnelless BGP, and BGP route observability
• Build and maintain automated regression suites integrated into CI pipelines

• Define test completion criteria and produce quality evidence for release sign‑off

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud networking QA, network engineering, or infrastructure testing
• Strong BGP and TCP/IP fundamentals; hands‑on with VPC/VNet architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Hands‑on testing across two or more of AWS, GCP, and Azure; experience with IPSec/GRE encrypted overlay networks
• Python or Go for test automation; CI/CD pipeline integration
• Excellent networking troubleshooting and packet‑level debugging (Wireshark, tcpdump)
• Ability to design and build multi‑cloud test environments independently
• Familiarity with AI or agentic AI workflows, including use of AI‑assisted tools for test generation, debugging, or infrastructure automation
• Strong communication skills; comfortable working across engineering, product, and field teams

Preferred

• Experience with cloud overlay or SD‑WAN platforms (e.g. Aviatrix, VMware NSX, Cisco Meraki)
• Familiarity with BGP over LAN, tunnelless BGP, AWS CloudWAN, or Azure Virtual WAN
• Knowledge of BFD, route aggregation, or AS path prepending in multi‑cloud contexts
• Experience with network observability tooling for route change monitoring and alerting
• Terraform for automated cloud infrastructure provisioning in test environments
• Exposure to multi‑cloud transit peering, inter‑region routing, or large‑scale gateway deployments
