Job summary

Ohmium in Bengaluru seeks a senior controls engineer to own the controls architecture and implement advanced process control solutions. You will analyze operating data, drive optimization, and translate system requirements into concrete control components.

The role requires 6–10 years in control system implementation, 4+ years programming in C/Python/Matlab, and familiarity with Modbus/RS-485/CAN. Renewable energy exposure and remote-work experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years in implementing control systems for continuous chemical processing equipment, industrial automation, or power systems.
• 4+ years of programming experience in any language (C, Python, Matlab).
• Strong understanding of supervisory control strategies for real-time optimization.
• Knowledge of process dynamics and complex regulatory control strategies (sequencing, cascade, feed forward, ratio control).
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like Modbus, RS-485, CAN.

Preferred candidate profile :

• B.E / M.E in Electrical, Chemical or Controls or equivalent specialization is required.
• Hands-on experience of 6 to 10 years in implementation of Control System for continuous chemical processing equipment or or industrial automation or power system is required.
• Experience of 4+ years in any programming language is required (C, Python, Matlab).
• Good understanding of supervisory control strategies for real-time optimization
• Good understanding of process dynamics and complex regulatory control strategies (sequencing, cascade, feed forward, ratio control)
• Good understanding of industrial communication protocols like Modbus, RS-485, CAN etc.
• Knowledge of Digital Control design a plus.
• Working knowledge in Python a plus.
• Good understanding of certification standards such as IEC 61511 or equivalent a plus.
• Previous experience in the renewable energy sector a plus
• Previous experience working remotely a plus.
