Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a SAP CPI Specialist to deliver day-to-day application management for SAP environments and CPI development support. You will engage with global teams, handle incidents, perform debugging, and ensure smooth CPI deployments across multiple SAP systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with SAP CPI, SAP ERP/S4HANA, and integration patterns, plus strong communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Shift-based on-call support is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in SAP integration technologies, preferably with a global client.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Good understanding of integration patterns and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration with third-party and internal applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Application Management support for SAP Applications, including service requests and incident management as Level 2 support.
• Provide Level 2 support for SAP CPI development activities, including customizations, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform debugging and testing to ensure CPI development quality.
• Support system integration testing, UAT, and production deployment of CPI objects.
• Document technical specifications and implementation details for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on SAP best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support as needed.
• Available to work on shift hours as required by the client.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day Application Management support for SAP Applications across IT Service Management, including service requests, incident management, and enhancement requests as a Level 2 Application Management Specialist.
• Provide Level 2 support for SAP CPI development activities, including customizations, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple SAP environments, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to customer CPI developments and SAP System Performance.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to gather requirements for incidents, enhancements, and problems, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform debugging and testing to ensure the quality of CPI developments.
• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment of CPI objects.
• Document technical specifications, code changes, and implementation details for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and SAP best practices to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide off‑hours support as needed to ensure the availability and reliability of critical SAP systems.
• Available to work on shift hours depending on the requirement of the client.

Requirements

• Flexibility in managing work hours due to the volatile nature of Application Management support work, including the ability to do shifts and be on‑call for critical business requirements.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, security protocols, and web services (SOAP, REST, OData).
• Experience with SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and other SAP applications.
• Proficiency in Groovy and Java scripting within SAP CPI.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector and connectivity to on‑premises systems.
• Familiarity with SAP API Management and SAP Event Mesh is a plus.
• SAP CPI certification is preferred.
