You will estimate liabilities for general insurance, prepare data, and present results while analyzing claims trends and performing reserve valuations using IBNR models.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in General Insurance industry or related services.
• Ability to multi-task with strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, VBA, SAS, R, Python, SQL, Alteryx and related tools.
• Good exam progress and a strong academic background in actuarial science / mathematics / statistics / finance.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality results and generate effective solutions while collaborating with Senior, Manager or Senior Manager to deliver projects.
• Maintain and develop productive working relationships with stakeholders and team members.
• Estimate actuarial liability for general insurance lines of business, including data preparation, loading to tools, liability analysis, and presenting results.
• Analyze historical claims data, identify potential issues and trends, and report findings.
• Perform valuation of reserves through IBNR model using supplied data for estimation.
• Review data, methodologies, assumptions and results; benchmark against the market.
• Assess technical provisions and standard formula or other capital calculations.
• Update report/memo sent to stakeholders with analysis results.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in the General Insurance industry, either in a consulting firm, insurer, or an organization providing insurance services.
• Ability to multi‑task and maintain a flexible work attitude, complemented by strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, VBA, SAS, R Programming, Python, SQL, Alteryx and related tools.
• Good exam progress.
• Strong academic background with a bachelor’s degree emphasizing actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance, ideally supplemented with a professional qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing, industry studies and stakeholder presentations.
• Overseas exposure (Australia/UK/US/Europe market experience).
