Tools or Skills required:

• Cleared minimum 2 papers in Actuarial science, 2+ years of experience in General Insurance (Life insurance is not accepted).
• Should have exp in P&C, Reserving or Pricing.
• Should have willingness to be part of Actuarial team in long run.
• Stability in each Organization

Candidate Responsibilities:

• The candidate will work in Reinsurance Pricing/Reserving teams for business lines like Property & Casualty, Motor, and/or Specialty lines like Aerospace and Marine.
• The teams provide pricing/reserving of contracts and dynamic portfolio optimization for international clients, serviced via our international offices.
• The principal responsibilities for the candidate will be:
• Data cleansing and processing to facilitate actuarial analysis
• Assist onshore stakeholders and Actuaries in performing Actuarial Pricing/Reserving Analysis such as Experience rating and Exposure rating for building a comprehensive, multi-dimensional loss model in accordance with client risk profiles and industry norms.
• Estimating reinsurance pricing/reserving and determining optimal Reinsurance Strategies
• Prepare and provide reports and decks for the performed analyses
• Contribute towards the Industry studies and Benchmarking activities, that aim at promoting Gallagher Re as thought leader in reinsurance marketplace
• Contribute to development of innovative concepts, tools or automating current process.

Qualification:

• Graduate/Post-graduate, preferably in Stats/Maths/Eco/Commerce
• A student member of any of the following institutes:
• Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI)
• Institute of Faculties of Actuaries – UK (IFoA)
• Min. 2 Actuarial exams cleared as per the new Curriculum, along with zeal of pursuing the qualification further
• A relevant internship or industry experience of 2 – 5 years will be an added advantage
