About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled SSIS Engineer to lead the development, troubleshooting, and optimization of SSIS packages, particularly in migration scenarios. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing complex data flows, and implementing performance-efficient solutions using best practices in ETL and Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, technical depth, and the ability to guide project modules through to successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

ETL Design & Development

Design, build, and maintain SSIS packages for data integration and migration projects.
Optimize SSIS package performance and troubleshoot errors or failures in execution.
Ensure high-quality coding standards and documentation across all deliverables.
Reuse or reconfigure existing components when appropriate to enhance development efficiency.
Interpret application features and component designs into executable solutions.
Support project planning, effort estimation, and timely delivery of modules.
Perform unit testing, document results, and support QA/test teams with scenario clarifications.
Execute release management and monitor deployment activities.

Problem Management & Quality Assurance

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on issues and proactively identify patterns for prevention.
Monitor and address code defects both pre- and post-delivery.
Review and refine technical documentation including design, test cases, and configuration standards.

Stakeholder & Team Engagement

Collaborate with customer stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify business logic.
Present technical options and conduct product demos as needed.
Mentor junior team members and help resolve their technical challenges.
Promote team engagement and support retention initiatives.

Process & Compliance

Drive adherence to coding standards, checklists, and quality benchmarks.
Complete all required compliance and process training on schedule.
Contribute to internal knowledge repositories and reusable asset libraries.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

5+ years of experience with Microsoft SSIS, including ETL development and migration projects.
Hands-on expertise with SQL Server, stored procedures, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience in troubleshooting SSIS performance and operational issues.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and integration patterns.
Knowledge of SSRS/SSAS is a plus.
