Job summary

Cloudxtreme is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Developer to join our Hyderabad team. You will provide hands-on production support, automate tasks, monitor systems, and drive reliability improvements across applications and infrastructure.

You will work with development and operations to reduce incidents, perform RCA, and implement preventive measures. Strong experience with Splunk, Shell scripting, Linux, and CI/CD is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in production support or SRE role.
• Proficient in Splunk for log analysis, dashboards and alerts.
• Shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell)
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools.
• Understanding of application architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience troubleshooting application, middleware, and infrastructure issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP).

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for business-critical applications.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using Splunk and other monitoring tools.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain Shell scripts to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Analyze application logs, system logs, and performance metrics to identify issues proactively.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.
• Manage deployments, configuration changes, and release support activities.
• Create and maintain operational runbooks, knowledge base articles, and support documentation.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance production stability.
