What you’ll do:

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

Requirement of this position is to perform electrical functional and validation testing of connectors and support engineering personnel to set up, execute, analyze, and report product testing in line with defined test procedures and lab safety requirements. The position requires to:

  • Perform functional and validation testing of connectors as per approved test requests and procedures.
  • Build, maintain, and improve electrical test setups, fixtures, test harnesses, and test benches.
  • Operate electrical and environmental test equipment safely, including high-voltage equipment.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize test data; prepare accurate test reports and maintain records.
  • Support troubleshooting, product issue investigation, and root cause analysis with engineering teams.
  • Maintain 5S, calibration records, inventory records, and safe working practices in the test lab.
  • Follow ESD and high-voltage safety practices during test setup, execution, and teardown.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve test quality, efficiency, and lab performance.
  • Performs connector functional, validation, voltage drop, insulation resistance, Hi-Pot, continuity, and related electrical tests as per defined procedures.
  • Builds and maintains electrical test setups, test benches, fixtures, test harnesses, wiring, connector assemblies required for test execution.
  • Operates test instruments such as high-voltage power supplies, multimeters, clamp meters, micro-ohm meters, Hi-Pot testers, insulation resistance testers, LCR meters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, current and voltage probes, and climatic chambers.
  • Prepares test harnesses and conducts wiring, crimping, connector assembly, soldering, and desoldering activities required for connector and voltage drop testing.
  • Collects, reviews, analyzes, and documents test data to prepare clear and accurate test reports for engineering review.
  • Supports troubleshooting, failure investigation, and root cause analysis for product, setup, and test-related issues.
  • Maintains laboratory 5S, tool and instrument records, equipment usage records, and calibration records to ensure audit readiness.
  • Follows ESD, electrical safety, high-voltage safety, and general laboratory safety practices during all test activities.
  • Coordinates with engineers and technicians to clarify test requirements, share progress, resolve technical issues, and complete test requests on time.
  • Participates in continuous improvement, standard work, and lab best-practice initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline with relevant experience in electrical product testing or validation.
Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test instruments and test setup development.
  • Experience in functional, electrical validation, environmental, and mechanical testing.
  • Experience in harness preparation, crimping, wiring, connector assembly, soldering, and desoldering activities.
  • Experience in PCB soldering / desoldering and strain gauge application will be useful.
  • Ability to operate high-voltage power supplies, multimeters, clamp meters, micro-ohm meters, Hi-Pot testers, insulation resistance testers, LCR meters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, current and voltage probes, and climatic chambers.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and report writing skills.
  • Awareness of ESD controls, electrical safety, high-voltage safety, 5S, calibration, and lab compliance practices.
Preferred / Additional specialized knowledge
  • Experience in connector validation testing and testing of electrical or electromechanical products.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition systems, test automation, LabVIEW / CANape / similar software, and basic instrumentation interfaces.
  • Understanding of ISO 17025, IATF, audit readiness, and problem-solving / root cause analysis tools.
  • Exposure to engineering workflow tools such as ENOVIA, JIRA, or similar systems.
