Job summary

Aristocrat, a global leader in gaming content and technology, seeks a Sr Technical Lead - C++ Developer in India to drive complex game features from concept to delivery. You will craft high-performance C++ code (11/14), enforce coding standards, and collaborate across teams to define technical solutions.

You will mentor junior developers and uphold OOP principles while delivering scalable game architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of game development experience in C++ (11/14).
• Strong OOP and SDLC knowledge.
• Experience in Linux and Windows development.
• Proficiency with VS, Git/SVN, GDB, profiling and analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead by example.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of complex game features from concept to delivery
• Implement and maintain high-performance game code using C++ (11/14)
• Ensure perfect conformity to engineering guidelines and coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine technical requirements and solutions
• Mentor and guide junior developers, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to develop robust and scalable code structures
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Participate in Agile planning and execution, strictly adhering to timelines
• Improve game performance and manage memory consumption for different platforms
• Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate guidelines into game development processes
• Successfully implement new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in game development on C++ (11/14)
• Proven expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working in Linux and Windows development environments
• Proficiency with tools such as Visual Studio, Git/SVN, GDB, profiling tools, and static/dynamic analysis tools
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration systems
• Proven ability to boost game performance and fix technical challenges
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game mechanics
• Prior experience in the gaming industry is preferred
