Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain iOS Apps and SDKs for our CGM device. You will build for the iOS platform, implement requirements, and drive quality through automated tests and code reviews.

You will work in an agile environment with Jira/Confluence, CI/CD tools, and modern design patterns (MVC/MVVM/MVP). Join a global team delivering life-changing health technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5–8 years of related software development experience, or 2–5 years with a Master's.
• Experience in developing native iOS apps in Swift and delivering robust code.

Responsibilities

• Design and build native iOS apps for the Dexcom CGM platform.
• Implement requirements on iOS apps and update design docs.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality products and iterate on feedback.

Meet the team:

Dexcom is hiring for a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this position, you will be designing, developing and maintaining iOS Apps and/or SDKs for an industry leading CGM device, to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. You will be joining a well-established team & company, on an upward growth trajectory.

Where you come in:

• You will design and build applications for the iOS platform
• You’ll implement requirements on iOS apps, write and update design documents
• We’ll rely on you to continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiency
• You’ll interface with software test to ensure high-quality product
• You will develop automated unit and integration tests
• You’ll participate in design, code and test reviews, provide technical leadership
• You will propose and implement enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability

What makes you successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• You have a minimum 2 years of native iOS app development experience using Swift and 5 years of professional software development experience
• You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding
• You have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Fastlane, Github Actions, SonarQube
• You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow
• You have experience writing automated tests using XCTest, XCUITest, Swift Testing
• You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP
• You have experience in developing SDK layer
• You have experience in working on iOS operating system with knowledge of dealing with multi-threaded environments

Education and Experience Requirements:
