Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain iOS Apps and SDKs for our CGM devices. You will join a well-established team on an upward growth trajectory to help improve the lives of people with diabetes.

You will work on the iOS platform in San Diego, collaborating across teams, implementing new technologies, and ensuring high-quality software through robust testing and design patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of native iOS app development in Swift and 5+ years of software development.
• Experience in Agile environments; familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Proficient in CI/CD tools and version control systems; strong testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build iOS applications for the platform.
• Implement requirements on iOS apps and update design documents.
• Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Interface with software tests to ensure high-quality product.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.

Meet the team

Dexcom is hiring for a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this position, you will be designing, developing and maintaining iOS Apps and/or SDKs for an industry leading CGM device, to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. You will be joining a well-established team & company, on an upward growth trajectory.

Where you come in

• You will design and build applications for the iOS platform
• You’ll implement requirements on iOS apps, write and update design documents
• We’ll rely on you to continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiency
• You’ll interface with software test to ensure high-quality product
• You will develop automated unit and integration tests
• You’ll participate in design, code and test reviews, provide technical leadership
• You will propose and implement enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability

What makes you successful

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• You have a minimum 2 years of native iOS app development experience using Swift and 5 years of professional software development experience
• You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding
• You have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Fastlane, Github Actions, SonarQube
• You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow
• You have experience writing automated tests using XCTest, XCUITest, Swift Testing
• You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP
• You have experience in developing SDK layer
• You have experience in working on iOS operating system with knowledge of dealing with multi-threaded environments
