Job summary

STEMx in Belgaum seeks a Sr. STEM Trainer/Mentor to deliver high-quality STEM training to school students and learners at STEMx centers. You will plan hands-on sessions in robotics, coding, electronics, and 3D printing using project-based curricula and guide learners toward competitions and assessments.

You will collaborate with schools and the STEMx team to refine curricula, mentor groups, and track outcomes while maintaining equipment and learning resources onsite.

Qualifications

• Strong STEM knowledge with hands-on robotics, coding, electronics, and 3D printing.
• Experience teaching or mentoring children in classroom, lab, or workshop.
• Ability to design engaging hands-on lessons with assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain concepts clearly.
• Comfort with educational technology and basic hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM preferred.
• Experience with schools or extracurricular STEM programs is advantageous.
• Willing to work on-site in Belgaum and adapt to curricula.

Role Description The Sr. STEM Trainer/Mentor is a full-time, on-site role based in Belgaum, responsible for delivering high-quality STEM training to school students and learners at STEMx centers. This role involves planning and conducting hands-on sessions in robotics, coding, electronics, 3D printing, and related STEM domains, using structured curricula and project-based learning. The trainer/mentor will guide students through practical activities, support them in problem-solving, and prepare them for competitions, showcases, and assessments. Day-to-day responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom facilitation, mentoring students individually and in groups, tracking learning outcomes, and providing feedback to learners and guardians. The role also includes collaborating with school partners, coordinating with the STEMx team on curriculum improvements, and maintaining equipment and learning resources.

Qualifications

• Strong STEM knowledge and practical experience in areas such as robotics, coding/programming, electronics, 3D printing, and basic engineering concepts.
• Demonstrated teaching, training, or mentoring experience with children or young learners in a classroom, lab, or workshop setting.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons, with skills in lesson planning, student assessment, and classroom management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and encourage curiosity and creativity.
• Comfort with educational technology, learning platforms, and basic troubleshooting of hardware and software used in STEM activities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in STEM-related fields (Engineering, Science, Computer Science, or related discipline) is preferred.
• Experience working with schools, educational programs, or extracurricular STEM initiatives is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Belgaum, collaborate with a diverse team, and adapt to evolving curricula and student needs.
