• Act as the primary technical interface across development, testing, customer, and program teams.
• Drive key system KPIs such as boot time, memory footprint, performance, and power.
• Support customer engagements from requirements to commercialization.

• Be hands-on when needed and actively guide teams to success.

General Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to join our Handset Software team as a Linux Software Product Engineer (Android)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Experience:12+ years of Software Engineering experience, with a focus on Embedded Linux or Android
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of theEmbedded Linuxsoftware stack (Bootloader, Kernel, Userspace, Middleware)Proven experience inSoftware Integrationand Release Management for complex SoCsProficiency inC/C++and scripting languages (Python, Bash) is desirableExperience withSource Control & Build SystemsAbility to understand high level debug of complex system issues is very helpful
