Avient Corporation in India is seeking a Senior Specialist to support the EMEA region with monthly close processes, audits, and ad-hoc projects. Based in Vashere / Pune, this role collaborates with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal and Corporate Accounting.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of accounting experience, with strong English and communication skills. Hybrid work from home and Europe shift are part of the schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor aging intercompany receivables and challenge overdue payments with India Team.
• Prepare FI Invoices for EMEA region, including costs reallocation and royalties.
• Post loan interest entries for all EMEA entities.
• Post monthly payroll journal entries.
• Post monthly VAT entries and support VAT reconciliation with the Statutory Team.
• Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support Avient’s audits.
• Support regional and corporate initiatives.
• Handle other projects as required by the business.

Senior Specialist, based out of Vashere / Pune, is a key role supporting EMEA Region. This role has primary responsibility for preparation and support of various aspects of the monthly close process and managing audits and other ad-hoc projects for the region.

Job Summary

Senior Specialist, based out of Vashere / Pune, is a key role supporting EMEA Region. This role has primary responsibility for preparation and support of various aspects of the monthly close process and managing audits and other ad-hoc projects for the region.

This role faces several key customers as part of both daily responsibilities and as part of project teams, including Finance, Business Unit Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal and Corporate Accounting.

Shift and work model: Europe shift: 11 AM TO 8 PM IST with expected flexibility throughout the month due to global support. Hybrid work from home.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor aging intercompany receivables and challenge business partners on overdue payments in collaboration with India Team.
• Prepare FI Invoices for EMEA Region, especially for Costs Reallocation and Royalties
• Post loan interest entries for all EMEA entities.
• Post monthly payroll journal entries.
• Post monthly VAT entries and support the Statutory Team with reconciliations between VAT returns, sales data, and Intrastat reporting.
• Completion of Balance sheet Reconciliation
• Working with Internal and External Auditors to support Avient’s audit requirements
• Support regional and corporate initiatives
• Other projects according to business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, Any other specialization in accounting
• 5 years + experience in accounting
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational skills, a self-starter with high level of analytical skills and resilience
• Working knowledge of SAP highly desirable
