Job description

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist to join our DDIT US&I D&A Operations team. This role will support Novartis' commercial AI/ML/LLM/GenAI operations and ensure the successful deployment of digital platforms and services at scale to deliver our digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver IT Service Management for the Advanced Analytics service line across ITIL processes, Service Operations, and continual service improvement, including supplier operational governance.
  2. Support in predictive and preventive operations to identify gaps, reduce MTTR, improve delivery times, and enhance CSAT in collaboration with service lines.
  3. Manage service operations with standardized services, processes, and tools to ensure efficient, high-quality services.
  4. Provide analytical reports for supplier governance calls, ensuring quality, KPI, SLA, and CSAT targets are met.
  5. Lead deployment and management of digital platforms supporting the digital strategy.
  6. Collaborate across teams for seamless operations management and execution.
  7. Identify and implement process simplifications and improvements for operational efficiency and stability.
  8. Ensure accurate maintenance of Asset attributes in Configuration and Asset Management.
  9. Engage as super user for process-related matters and develop processes for audit management.
  10. Act as SPOC for internal and external audits, coordinating activities and ensuring compliance.
  11. Monitor vendor compliance and conduct internal reviews or audits to ensure adherence to procedures.
  12. Investigate compliance issues and provide support for real-time quality and escalation issues.
  13. Maintain a Security Calendar for tracking security requirements and testing schedules.
  14. Manage change effectively, demonstrating digital savviness.
  15. Foster interpersonal skills, joint value creation, and continuous learning.
  16. Show resilience in facing challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing support operations for data analytics platforms on cloud environments like AWS and Snowflake.
  • Expertise in digital platform roadmaps, upgrades, and hotfixes.
  • Knowledge of Pharma Commercial & Digital Data sources and sourcing strategies.
  • Understanding of MLOps and project lifecycle management.
  • Ability to monitor emerging technologies and influence decision-making.
  • Leadership skills, IT governance, and team-building capabilities.
  • Experience in vendor management and analytical technologies.
  • Knowledge of descriptive and prescriptive analytics frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake services.
  • Experience delivering AI/ML/GenAI applications in production.
  • Understanding of data security and governance policies.
  • Focus on data product solutions and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Stable, compliant, secure, and effective operations measured by availability, performance, and capacity metrics.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years supporting data analytics platforms on cloud (AWS, Snowflake).
  • Production experience with AI/ML, Gen-AI projects.
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle management, change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience leading multiple delivery cycles in an Agile environment.
  • Strong leadership, financial, strategic, operational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
