Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our Product Quality team in Maharashtra. You will lead functional and non‑functional testing for Inmation Data Fabric products, collaborating with developers and Product Management to ensure high quality throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include designing test strategies, building automation, and performing performance tests across API, UI, and integration layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least four years of experience as a Software Developer or Software Developer in Test.
• Fluency in English.
• Understanding of cloud deployments; familiarity with different deployment infrastructure and virtualization technologies.

• Deliver high‑quality software by designing and executing manual and automated tests, including test environments, installations, upgrades, and configurations, in accordance with technical specifications.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks to improve test efficiency, reliability, and coverage.
• Design and perform unit, integration, end‑to‑end, and performance testing in an iterative, agile development environment.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand project goals and expectations.
• Drive test automation across API, UI, system, and integration layers using technologies such as MSTest, C#, Lua, PowerShell, Cypress, and Selenium.
• Maintain and execute performance, scalability, and stress tests.
• Share knowledge and best practices by participating in code reviews and pair programming.
• Work effectively both as an individual contributor and as part of a collaborative team in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

The Role

This is an opportunity to join our growing Product Quality team as a Senior Software Quality Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for functional and non functional testing (including performance and automation testing) of the AspenTech Inmation Data Fabric products. You will work closely with front end and back end software developers and Product Management to gather functional requirements, understand system behaviour, and proactively drive quality best practices throughout the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least four years of experience as a Software Developer or Software Developer in Test.
• Strong ability and willingness to design, develop, and enhance test frameworks, not just use existing ones.
• Advanced knowledge of at least one modern operating system.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Understanding of cloud deployments; familiarity with different deployment infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
• Basic knowledge of networking, databases, servers, communication protocols, and information security concepts.
• A strong willingness and curiosity to learn new technologies and skills.
