Job summary

UPS is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (Web Applications) to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Angular/.NET web applications hosted on Azure. The role emphasizes automated testing, API validation, and database checks within an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will mentor junior engineers and contribute to SAFe Agile practices, with strong experience in Selenium, Postman, RestAssured, and SQL Server. A background in supply chain domain is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience 7–10 years in QA for web applications.
• Strong testing of Angular/.NET applications and cloud-hosted services.
• Automation experience with Selenium is essential.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or RestAssured.
• Ability to validate data in SQL Server and optionally Cosmos DB.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and SAFe Agile practices.

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Quality Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to join our innovative development team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications developed using Angular and .NET, hosted on Azure. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in automated testing, database validation, and agile processes to maintain high-quality application standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for web applications.
• Automate test cases using Selenium to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
• Validate data accuracy in SQL Server and Cosmos DB (optional).
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in all stages of the Agile development process, including PI planning and sprint reviews.
• Ensure adherence to security and performance testing best practices.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.

Primary Skills

• Web Application Testing: Strong experience in testing Angular and .NET-based applications with minimum three years.
• Test Automation: Proficiency in Selenium for web application test automation.
• Cloud Testing: Hands-on experience with applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Database Validation: Advanced SQL skills for working with SQL Server and Cosmos DB (optional).
• API Testing: Expert knowledge of tools like Postman and RestAssured.
• DevOps Integration: Experience with Azure DevOps for pipeline automation.
• Agile Methodologies: Deep understanding of SAFe Agile frameworks.

• Performance Testing: Familiarity with tools like JMeter.
• Security Testing: Understanding of security testing practices.
