Overview

The Software Quality Engineer executes Information Services (I.S.) QA processes with moderate guidance. This role identifies problems, generates alternatives, and recommends solutions within defined processes. It documents the progress of assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met. The role collaborates effectively with QA team members, application developers, software vendors, consultants, user communities, and test environment technical support staff in the execution of testing procedures. This position supports testing efforts of small to medium complexity. The Software Quality Engineer is knowledgeable of the key processes and technology within the business functions he/she supports.

Primary Skills

• Experience in testing practices, testing levels, test plans and defect management.
• Experience with testing automation frameworks, such as NUnit, Selenium (with C#) and Rest Assured
• Experience working within Agile development teams

Secondary Skills

• Familiarity in using JSON, REST API and testing APIs using Postman.
• Familiarity with security standards and security validation tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD, cloud-based deployments, and pipeline validation tools
