Job summary

Simplify Alpha™ is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - SQL to develop SQL Server solutions as an individual contributor. You will collaborate with Developers and Product Managers across the software lifecycle, guided by Agile practices and modern coding languages.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, design and deployment, performance tuning, data migrations, and ensuring quality through unit testing and timely releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in engineering or equivalent IT field.
• 5–8 years of experience in software development using MS SQL Server.
• Proficient with SQL Server 2016+ features and SQL scripting.
• Ability to interpret requirements and write efficient SQL scripts.
• Experience with Stored Procedures, Jobs, Functions, and Triggers in SQL Server.
• Strong data migration knowledge to MS SQL Server; performance tuning expertise.
• Understanding of DDL/DML/DCL and basic Azure Data Factory and PostgreSQL is a plus.

Job description

The Sr. Software Engineer - SQL will be responsible for SQL development in SQL server. This is an individual contributor role and will work with other Developers and Product Managers throughout the software development lifecycle, including unit testing. You will be guided in Agile frameworks and popular coding languages to fulfil our business needs.

Requirements

• The candidate should have completed B.E. / BTech / B.C.A. / M.E. / MTech /, M.C.A /M.C.M from a recognized institute.
• Should have 5 to 8 years experience in software development using MS SQL Server.
• Primary skills of SQL Server 2016 and above.
• Ability to interpret requirements and write SQL scripts.
• Know all features of SQL Server2016 Stored Procedure, SQL Jobs, Functions and Triggers.
• Good understanding on databasemigration from different sources to MS SQL server.
• Good knowledge on DDL/DML/DCL queries, query tuning& performance optimization.
• Knowledge of SSIS is mandatory.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with all level of people of the organization.
• Candidate should be willing to work in rotational shifts.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Azure Data factory, Postgres database is a plus.
