Serrala is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Pune-based CoE and contribute to next-generation cloud-native enterprise payments. You will work on ABAP-OO, SAPUI5/FIORI, REST/OData, and S/4HANA development, driving architecture and technical ownership in an agile, collaborative environment.

You will design, implement, and optimize SaaS solutions across SAP and cloud environments, mentor peers, and participate in DevOps practices to ensure robust delivery and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• 8+ years of work experience with ABAP-OO, OData, REST.
• 2+ years with SAPUI5 Freestyle Apps and FIORI Elements Apps.
• Experience in solution architecture and technical design.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA development and SAP BTP technologies.
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring.
• Experience in Agile software development (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong communication and technical ownership.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements, design solutions with product owner, clarify dependencies.
• Drive solution architecture, technical design, documentation, and PoC creation.
• Break down stories, set timelines, write clean code, ensure production readiness.

The Pune CoE boasts of cross functional teams that build SaaS products from scratch, onboard customers and offer post-implementation support. Requirement Analysis:

• Analyze requirements, design solutions together with the product owner, clarify and communicate dependencies.
• Solutioning/Designing: Engage in and own the technical design process, including solution architecture, technical design, documentation, impact analysis and proof of concept creation.
• Execution Excellence: Break down user stories, set timelines, write clean and efficient code, maintain documentation, and ensure readiness for production, including performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Business Agility: Actively engage in agile practices, including Scrum/Kanban.
• Collaboration: Collaborate actively, drive to participate and collaborate in initiatives on an organizational level, mentor junior team members, and contribute to technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Technical Ownership: Take ownership of technical topics, challenge technical assumptions and contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
• Knowledge of ABAP-OO, SAPUI5 and FIORI Elements
• Knowledge of SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming model (RAP)
• Proficient in creating and managing CDS views, business objects, and data modeling using Core Data Services
• Highly experienced in the design and development of business applications
• Experience with OData services and SAP S/4HANA development.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite
• Experience with SAP BTP, including Integration Suite, API Management, Cloud Connector and Destinations.
• Experience with SAP Integration APIs and Extensibility Frameworks.
• Knowledge of Clean Core principles would be beneficial.
• Exposure to SAP Financial modules would be highly beneficial
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD for SAP landscapes would be beneficial.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Joule would be an advantage.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of work experience with ABAP-OO, OData, REST.
• 2+ years of work experience with SAPUI5 Freestyle Apps and FIORI Elements Apps.
• Experience with solution architecture and technical design.

• Experience with technical leadership and mentoring.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong communication skills and technical ownership.
