Job summary

Yash Technologies is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer/Power BI Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience to design and deliver scalable data engineering, analytics, and enterprise reporting solutions. You will leverage Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and Azure data services to build Lakehouse and warehouse architectures and ready-to-use datasets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or enterprise reporting.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Semantic Models, and Power BI.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion, and orchestration.
• Strong SQL skills and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements.
• Analyze source systems, business rules, and data dependencies to create functional and technical documentation.
• Design and develop scalable data pipelines, data models, Lakehouse/Warehouse structures, semantic models, and reporting-ready datasets using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data flow diagrams, transformation logic, and technical design documents.
• Apply data modeling principles to support analytical, operational, and enterprise reporting use cases.
• Perform end-to-end delivery activities, including design, development, testing, migration, production support, user training, and documentation.
• Contribute to best practices for Fabric architecture, CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and development standards.
• Optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, semantic models, and reports for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Identify trends, patterns, and data quality issues in complex datasets and convert findings into actionable recommendations.

We are looking for a strong Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer / Power BI Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering scalable data engineering, analytics, and enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture, semantic models, and reporting-ready datasets . Experience with Azure data services, SAP data, and business stakeholder collaboration will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of overall experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or enterprise reporting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric , including Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks, Semantic Models, and Power BI.
• Experience with medallion architecture, Lakehouse patterns, data warehouse design, dimensional modeling, and reporting-ready datasets.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines , data ingestion workflows, transformation logic, and orchestration processes.
• Strong SQL skills , including optimized query writing, complex data analysis, and performance tuning support.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data pipelines, semantic models, and analytical datasets.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, data validation, testing support, defect resolution, production support, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, or Databricks is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with business users, technical teams, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Understanding of SAP data, business processes, and enterprise reporting environments is an advantage.

Desired Skills

• Exposure to HANA modeling, SAP data structures, BusinessObjects, or Tableau is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
