Job summary

General Mills is seeking a senior Backend IC for the Box Tops for Education (BTFE) engineering team in Mumbai. You will design, build, and operate scalable .NET Core services and RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture, owning production stability and performance.

You will work in an Agile setting with cross-functional peers and stakeholders. You will contribute to end-to-end module delivery, design reviews, and architectural discussions while mentoring peers informally.

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of .NET Core and Web API in enterprise-grade backends.
• Strong understanding of microservices design patterns and API design.
• Relational databases experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum delivery and sprint planning.

Responsibilities

The individual will personally design and develop robust, enterprise-grade solutions built on .NET Core, RESTful APIs, and a microservices architecture, following best practices, coding standards, and sound architectural principles — with no direct reports or formal people-management responsibility.With advanced hands-on expertise across the .NET Core, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL ecosystem, they will execute full lifecycle development — from technical planning and design to implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimization — within an Agile delivery model, working closely with peers, the Delivery Manager, and cross-functional stakeholders.
