Job summary

Unidel Ventures in Pune invites a Sr. Software Engineer - JAVA to design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications and participate in all phases of the development lifecycle.

You will implement secure coding practices, work with Spring Boot and ORM technologies, and collaborate with teams to translate user requirements into robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on Software Development experience with Java (min 5 years).
• Strong knowledge of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory, Transactions).
• Excellent SQL, ORM (Hibernate/JPA) skills.
• Spring Boot experience is mandatory.
• Experience with web frameworks (Spring MVC, JSF, Wicket, GWT).
• Familiarity with test-driven development and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development is a plus.

• Qualification - Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Location - Pune
• Experience - 3 - 5 Years

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle from concept and design to testing.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs comply with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate them into reliable, intuitive software solutions.
• Experienced in implementing secure development methodologies, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data and systems integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on Software Development experience with a minimum of 5 years in Java development.
• Profound insight of Java and JEE internals, including Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction Management, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Experience with Spring Boot is mandatory.
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Mastery in software engineering tools.
• Ability to document requirements and specifications.
• Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
• Implementing robust and secure coding practices to fortify software infrastructure against potential vulnerabilities.

Good to have Skills:

• Experience with Spring Cloud or deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
