Job Summary

We are looking forward to hiring ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) professionals as part of the Data Engineer/DevOps - Foundry Platform team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting automated end-to-end data pipelines and applications on the Palantir Foundry platform, AWS, and other supporting technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Tech / B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or related field and overall 5+ years of industry experience
• Strong experience in Big Data & Data Analytics
• Experience building robust ETL pipelines for batch and streaming ingestion
• Experience with Palantir Foundry and key apps such as Code Repository, Data Lineage, Scheduling, Ontology Manager, Contour, Object View Editor, Object Explorer, Quiver, Workshop, Vertex
• Experience with Data Connection, external transforms, Foundry APIs, SDK, and Webhooks (plus)
• Interaction with RESTful APIs, authentication via SAML and OAuth2
• Test‑driven development and CI/CD workflows
• Git source control management
• Agile experience in Scrum environments such as Jira
• Visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik (plus)
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake or similar platforms (advantage)
• Basic knowledge of Statistics and Machine Learning (favorable)
• Strong problem‑solving abilities
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication

Primary Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and supporting data pipelines and applications
• Industrializing data pipelines
• Establishing continuous quality improvement processes to systematically optimize data quality
• Collaborating with various stakeholders, including business and IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences or related fields
• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or software development
• 3+ years of experience in ETL‑type work with databases and Hadoop platforms

Technical Skills

• SQL, Scala, Python (Python preferred), PySpark for distributed computation
• Foundry Pipeline, Ontology, Workshop App basic design/visual competency
• Familiarity with common databases (Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, etc.)
• REST API integration, including authentication via SAML and OAuth2
• Spark job launching (client and cluster mode) and performance tuning
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript for basic application development
• Source control with Git and experience in CI/CD pipelines
• SQL database management: views, functions, stored procedures, exception handling
• Static and dynamic authorization mechanisms (Apache Ranger preferred)
• Programming proficiency in one high‑level language (Java, C, Scala, etc.)
• Data connection, external transforms, Foundry APIs, SDK, and Webhooks (plus)
• ITIL knowledge, especially incident, problem, and change management
• Travel flexibility to Germany, US, and other locations as per project demand
• Willingness to work CEST and US EST time zones (according to team rotation plan)
• Physical presence in Bangalore (primary work location)
