Job summary

SynapseIndia, a Noida-based software development company, seeks a Sr. Software Engineer (CodeIgniter) with 9–10 years of experience. You will design, develop, and maintain web applications using Core PHP and CI, applying OOP, MVC, and patterns for scalable, maintainable systems.

Responsibilities include API development, MySQL optimization, cloud search integration, debugging, and production support. You will collaborate with PMs and QA to ensure timely delivery and produce solid documentation.

Qualifications

• 9–10 years of professional experience in PHP application development.
• Strong proficiency in Core PHP and CodeIgniter (CI3/CI4).
• Excellent understanding of OOP concepts, MVC architecture, and software design patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of MySQL, relational databases, and query optimization.
• Proven experience in RESTful API development and third-party integrations.
• Practical experience with cloud search technologies and search functionality integration.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage complex development tasks and technical challenges.
• Good communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of large, database-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Git, code review practices, and version control workflows.
