Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Pune, India seeks a Senior WebFOCUS Developer & Administrator to design, build and run our enterprise BI platform. You will combine hands-on WebFOCUS development with platform administration and governance, supporting Dev, QA and Production environments.

You will mentor junior developers and BI engineers, collaborate with infrastructure and partner teams, and ensure BI solutions meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of total IT experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on WebFOCUS development experience.
• 2+ years of WebFOCUS platform administration experience.
• Strong expertise in FOCEXEC development, metadata management and environment management.
• Experience in performance tuning, server configuration and security setup.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix, shell scripting and version control (Git).
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and work effectively in a complex, global organization.

Responsibilities

• Design dashboards, analytical applications and parameterized reports using Designer and InfoAssist.
• Build FOCEXEC procedures and integrate them with HTML/JavaScript for customized reporting solutions.
• Create metadata using WebFOCUS synonyms and Master Files.
• Implement complex reporting logic, drill-downs and scheduling workflows.
• Optimize queries and reporting performance across enterprise databases and external systems.
• Good understanding of SQL concepts
• Install, configure and upgrade WebFOCUS environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
• Manage the Reporting Server, Client and Distribution Server.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization and job scheduling.
• Configure authentication and security and manage access control.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate with infrastructure teams.
• Establish development standards, code review processes and deployment practices.
• Manage migration of reports and applications across environments.
• Provide support and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Mentor junior developers and BI engineers.

We are looking for a Senior WebFOCUS Developer & Administrator to design, build and run our enterprise BI platform. You will combine hands-on WebFOCUS development with platform administration and governance, supporting Dev, QA and Production environments. You will report to the Manager, Software Engineering and have a hybrid schedule working in Pune, India

Key Responsibilities

WebFOCUS Development

The Essentials - You Will Have:
