Job summary

PRGX Global Inc. in India is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver highly resilient, scalable product and platform solutions for enterprise clients.

You will coach and mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, estimate delivery, and set the pace for sprint commitments in a distributed agile environment, delivering high quality software and architectures that align with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience building enterprise-grade solutions.
• 5+ years designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of MVC, Spring Boot, API security (SAML/OAuth), and ORM concepts.
• Experience with event-driven, multi-tenant SaaS architectures and data models.
• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL with high-volume data handling.
• Cloud-native development on AWS or Azure managed services.
• Experience with modern JavaScript/Node.js, AI solutions is a plus.
• Proven leadership in agile scrum teams and planning of development efforts.
• CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes); GitOps a plus.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver highly resilient, scalable, extensible, maintainable product and platform solutions.
• Coach and mentor engineers by giving thoughtful feedback on designs, code reviews to deliver high quality product and champion engineering excellence.
• Provide cost/benefit analysis to influence technology selection and architecture strategy to solve most complex business problems
• Recommend, Influence and document technical solutions towards complex business problems working closely with other senior engineers and technology leaders
• Be a trusted technology expert for business and product management by accurately estimating and establishing predictable delivery of new business capabilities
• Act as a senior technical member of distributed agile scrum team(s) by removing impediments and deliver high quality sprint and release commitment
• Develop technology proof of concept to illustrate architecture concepts

Knowledge & Qualifications

• 5 + years of software development experience utilizing to build enterprise grade product solutions.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing and documenting RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of concepts/technologies like MVC, Spring boot, application/API security - SAML/OAuth, API governance, service mesh, JPA, ORM, lucene based indexing and search tools.
• Fluent with object oriented as well as functional programming
• Prior experience designing and developing event driven, high volume multi-tenant SaaS architectures and platforms.
• Expert level knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and understanding key differences in their usage and applications.
• Expert knowledge working with high volume data streaming tools preferably kafka streams.
• Prior experience building data engineering pipelines and processing big data workloads .
• Expert level understanding with designing and developing cloud native applications using AWS or Azure managed services.
• Preferred experience using modern javascript technologies like nodejs, typescript, AngularJS is a big plus.
• Prior experience using Python and developing AI solutions is a plus.
• Experience with behavior driven test development preferably using cucumber, selenium is a big plus.
• Proven experience leading agile scrum-teams and guide planning and estimation of development efforts for features and stories.
• Prior experience with design and development of CI/CD pipelines preferably using Jenkins to configure build jobs and promote artifacts from development all the way to production
• Prior proven experience of utilizing and productionizing container/container orchestration technologies like Docker, kubernetes. Experience with gitOps implementation preferably using Argo will be a plus.
