Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise-level software.
• 8+ years of hands-on programming with .NET, C#, SQL Server, and RESTful APIs.
• 4+ years of mentoring or guiding other engineers.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, multi-threading, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with .NET Core (incl. .NET 6/7/8) and EF or similar ORM.
• Experience with Azure Service Bus or equivalent messaging systems.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable code.

Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer is a hands-on contributor responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining multi-platform applications, services, and related software components. This role focuses on delivering high-quality solutions to complex technical problems while collaborating closely with peers and cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will contribute to building scalable, reliable software that delivers measurable business value, while following modern development practices and engineering standards.

This position will be in Bengaluru/Hyderabad at our India location.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job

Technical Execution

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to system design discussions and implement solutions using established architecture patterns.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in existing systems.
• Stay current with modern technologies and apply them where appropriate.

Collaboration

• Work closely with QA, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Agile teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (design discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives).
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges and improve team productivity.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior engineers when needed.

Delivery Execution

• Contribute to the implementation, testing, and deployment of features.
• Support backlog refinement by providing technical input and effort estimation.
• Ensure delivered software meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain consistency and quality across the codebase.
• Assist in resolving production issues and supporting operational stability.

What are the requirements needed for this position

• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise-level software applications.
• 8+ years of hands-on programming experience with .NET, C#, SQL Server, and RESTful APIs.
• 4+ years of experience mentoring or guiding other engineers (informal or project-based).
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in .NET Core (including .NET 6/7/8), Entity Framework, or other ORM technologies.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus or similar.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.

What other skills or experience would be useful in this role

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience building cloud-based or microservices-oriented applications.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, event-driven design, and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployment practices.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-204) are a plus.
• Experience in both on-premise and cloud environments.
